Neighbors: Hysterical, Bro

I think Neighbors will be remembered as the high point of Seth Rogen’s career – I was scared to watch this, since I was afraid all the funny parts were in the trailer. I was pleasantly surprised to be laughing out loud, especially at some of the throw away one-liners by Sydney-born actress Rose Byrne who plays Rogen’s wife, and who I thought had great chemistry overall with Rogen.
Seth Rogen and his wife are quietly raising their baby, Stella, and a band of frat boys move next door to them (they burned down their last frat house with fireworks). Seth and Rose felt bad for being lame, boring and old in the suburbs with their baby, and at first they welcome the frat boys as they open a portal to their fun-loving past they left behind when they decided to settle down and choose the white picket fences. The frat’s partying sparks a war when they find that taking mushrooms and playing beer-pong is not the way to raise an infant. Zac Efron serves fratboy-bro realness, and his body looks great. Efron makes a decent foil to Rogen, and OMG … Lisa Kudrow is in this. I say go see this movie!

Can I take the kids?: Seth Rogen and Zac Efron get in a fist fight with a box of dildos. This is like my hottest fantasy. You probably shouldn’t take the kids. Rated R!
